As a Transportation Management Area (TMA), the WMPO is required to develop and utilize a Congestion Management Process (CMP) as an integrated part of the metropolitan transportation planning process.
The WMPO developed its first CMP in 2014 and has prepared an updated biennial data report every other year since, in an effort to continually monitor and address congestion in the region.
The 2020 Biennial Data Report analyzes 30 critical corridors within the WMPO planning boundary and outlines potential strategies for managing congestion on these corridors.
