Cape Fear Moving Forward 2045 Draft Plan

Cape Fear Moving Forward 2045 will be the plan used by federal, state, and local governments to guide transportation projects in our region over the next 25 years. The creation of this plan is a requirement in order to secure federal transportation dollars for our region. Cape Fear Moving Forward 2045 will replace our current plan, Cape Fear Transportation 2040, which will expire in November 2020.

Get Involved – We Want to Hear from You!

A 30-day public comment period was opened on February 26, 2020. As a result of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) and out of an abundance of caution, the initial 30-day public comment period has been extended through May 15, 2020. Public input is essential in preparing an appropriate transportation plan and it is our hope that residents of the Wilmington region will continue to review the Draft Cape Fear Moving Forward 2045 Metropolitan Transportation Plan through this website and offer comments via email. The public comment period marks the second phase of public outreach for the plan. Please review the draft plan and let us know what you think!
