The Wilmington Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (WMPO) is opening a 14-day public comment period for the proposed Division Needs Tier Local Input Point Assignment for NCDOT’s Prioritization 8.0 process.
The Prioritization process helps identify and rank transportation projects for potential funding through the State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP). As part of this process, the WMPO Board will assign local input points to eligible projects within the Division Needs Tier.
Public comments will be accepted for 14 days, from Wednesday, October 28, 2026, through 5 p.m. on Wednesday, November 11.
Review the proposed point assignments and learn more about Prioritization 8.0. A printed copy of the proposed assignments is also available for review at the WMPO office at 545 N. 4th Street, Wilmington, NC 28401.
