Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee

The WMPO’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) advises the Board regarding bicycle and pedestrian programs, projects, policies and safety. The Committee shall seek to promote the development of bicycle and pedestrian education programs for youth and adults, the enforcement of traffic laws for all roadway users, the use of bicycling and walking for transportation, fitness, and recreation, the effective prioritization and development of safe bicycle and pedestrian facilities in our region, projects, plans, programs, and ideas that will promote a safer environment for bicycling and walking in the WMPO planning area.

The Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee meets bi-monthly on the second Tuesdays of February, April, June, August, October, and December at 2:00 P.M. The meetings take place in-person on the first floor of 305 Chestnut Street in downtown Wilmington. There is also a virtual option via Zoom, which can be accessed here.
