Public Comment Opportunity: Amendment to Public Participation Plan

September 30 – November 14, 2026

The Wilmington Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (WMPO) is seeking public input on a proposed amendment to its adopted Public Participation Plan (PPP).

The PPP outlines how WMPO engages with the community and provides opportunities for public input throughout the transportation planning process. The proposed amendment adds an online form as one way community members may submit comments during public comment periods. This update would be reflected in the list of “Comment Opportunities” for applicable WMPO work products, including MPO TIP, UPWP, and PPP.

We invite residents, stakeholders, and community partners to review the proposed amendment and provide feedback.

Review the Proposed Amendment to the Public Participation Plan. A printed copy of the proposed amendment is also available for review at the WMPO office at 545 N. 4th Street, Wilmington, NC 28401.

The public comment period is open from September 30, 2026, through 5 p.m. Saturday, November 14, 2026

Comments may be submitted via email to wmpo@wilmingtonnc.gov or mailed to:
